       The Canadian New Gastronomy Association (CNGA) is a nonprofit organization under the WGEG, dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles through the integration of nutritional science and culinary arts. As part of the WGEG, CNGA focuses on providing high-quality nutrition and culinary training to students, community members, patients, and food service professionals, helping them enhance their health management skills.


       WGEG offers robust marketing resources and operational support to CNGA, enabling it to promote professional courses and educational programs across a broad market. The Group's resources ensure that CNGA maintains a leading position in the industry while continuously providing students with a high-quality educational experience and professional training. Upon completion of the courses, participants the institution will issue a certificate upon completion of the program.

CNGA History

       本机构的主要发起人是Sophi Liang,一位加拿大注册营养师、食品生态学硕士,并获得食品与营养领域奖项的作家。Sophi与Nikolai Alexander和Tony Zhang共同创立了这一组织,通过专业背景与资源支持,推动营养知识的广泛传播。自成立以来,我们已与加拿大,美国,意大利,米兰,希腊等近10几个欧美家公益机构和社区团体合作,为老年人和青年人开设公益营养课程,开展各种饮食调养项目;此外,还通过“营养饺子实验室”等项目为青少年提供营养教育和实操课程,帮助他们培养健康的饮食习惯。

       在2020年全球面临重大挑战之际,本组织作为一个以健康为核心的非营利组织应运而生,旨在传播营养理念,倡导健康生活方式。秉持公益与服务社区的初心,我们致力于在特殊的历史背景下,通过宣导核心理念、普及营养知识、并举办教育性活动,积极构建健康互助的社区网络。


       In 2020, amidst significant global challenges, our organization emerged as a health-focused nonprofit dedicated to disseminating nutritional concepts and promoting healthy lifestyles. With a commitment to public welfare and community service, we strive to actively build a supportive community network through advocating core principles, spreading nutritional knowledge, and organizing educational activities, particularly in this unique historical context.

       The main initiator of this organization is Sophi Liang, a Canadian registered dietitian, master's degree holder in food ecology, and an award-winning author in the field of food and nutrition. Alongside Nikolai Alexander and Tony Zhang, Ms. Sophi co-founded this organization, leveraging their professional backgrounds and resource support to promote the widespread dissemination of nutritional knowledge. Since our inception, we have collaborated with nearly a dozen nonprofit organizations and community groups in Canada, the United States, Italy, Milan, Greece, and other European and American countries to provide public nutrition courses for the elderly and youth, and to conduct various dietary management programs. Additionally, through initiatives like the "Nutritional Dumpling Lab," we offer nutrition education and hands-on courses for adolescents, helping them develop healthy eating habits.

       Looking ahead, we will continue to unite social forces to provide free nutrition education and flexible, practical health courses for the public. We remain steadfast in our mission to promote nutritional knowledge and support the healthy development of communities.

Note: All of our courses not only provide theoretical knowledge, but also help students master key skills through practical operation. Students will participate in practical courses such as dietary planning, ingredient selection, and  cooking techniques to ensure that the theories learned can be effectively applied to  real-life situations and help optimize health management.

       I am a dedicated educator in food, wine, and nutrition, with a BS and MS in food ecology, as well as an R.H.N. certification. Over the past nine years, I've taught food and beverage hospitality and nutrition, including five years of nutrition education both publicly and privately. I’m also an award-winning writer in food and travel and a certified wine educator (WSET Level 3). Through a nonprofit, I led online courses such as Nutritional Care for Diabetes and Making Healthy Dumplings. My expertise spans nutritional consulting, lifestyle coaching, and F&B writing, allowing me to inspire and educate diverse audiences.
